FAQs about Video
Teller Machines

What is a Video Teller Machine (VTM)?

A Video Teller Machine (sometimes also known as an Interactive Teller Machine) looks like an ATM, except you’re connected via video chat with one of our friendly tellers, so you can take care of almost all your bank business without ever leaving your car. Cash checks, pay loans, make deposits and withdrawals—all while enjoying shorter lines with less waiting.

How do Video Teller Machines work?

Simply touch the screen to get started, and a One Bank teller will appear on screen. Your teller will then assist you with any transactions you need to complete. You may be asked to scan your ID for identification, and a digital signature will authorize your transaction requests. For any regular ATM transactions, just insert your card and proceed as normal.

Do I need to fill out a deposit slip for a VTM transaction?

One of the benefits of VTM use is that deposit slips are not needed.

Where are VTMs located?

Right now, you’ll find our new VTMs in the drive-thru at the following locations:

  • Baxter
  • Jamestown
  • Lake Tansi
  • Livingston
  • Monterey
  • Monterey Stratton
  • Oak Ridge
  • Oliver Springs
  • Sparta

You can also check our Locations page for a list of branches with video teller machines.

What transactions can I conduct at a Video Teller Machine?

VTMs allow you to complete almost any transaction that can be completed with a teller inside the bank, including:

  • Checking/savings deposits
  • Checking/savings withdrawals
  • Balance inquiries
  • Account transfers
  • Check cashing
  • Loan payments
  • Order checks

Are VTM transactions safe and secure?

Definitely! Since your remote teller is only interacting with one customer at a time, you’re guaranteed more personal service as well.

Is there a fee for using a Video Teller Machine?

Using a VTM is just like going to a teller window, so there are never any fees associated with VTM use.

Are my conversations with your remote tellers private?

Absolutely. Your conversations at the VTM are just as private as if you were standing in front of your teller inside the bank.

Who are the tellers I’ll be talking to on the VTM?

Everyone you speak to on the VTM is a One Bank of Tennessee employee, working in a branch office. You may even recognize your VTM teller from a previous bank visit!

When are Video Teller Machines available for use?

Transactions with tellers on our drive-thru VTMs will be available during the following times:

Central Time
Monday – Friday 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Saturday 7:30 AM – 12:00 PM*

Eastern Time
Monday – Friday 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Saturday 8:30 AM – 1:00 PM*

*These are the hours for branches that are open on Saturday. Some branches are closed on Saturday. Please check the Locations page for open Saturday hours near you.

Outside of those hours, the VTM will still operate just like an ATM for your convenience.

Can I still use ATM features without a live teller to assist me?

If you’d rather complete a standard ATM transaction without speaking to a teller, simply insert your card and follow the steps you would normally take with a typical ATM machine. And remember: if you would like assistance at any time during the ATM transaction, you still have the option of speaking with the teller at any time.
