1901

One Bank of Tennessee was opened as the Bank of Monterey on October 2, 1901. Several community leaders joined to found a bank to provide financial services to the town and surrounding area which was booming with logging, coal mining, and mountain resorts as well as both passenger and freight rail service. At the close of business on the first day, the bank’s deposits totaled $2,284.94 and the first loan was made for $9.50.

1976

The organization began its expansion by opening an office in Cookeville and changing its name from the Bank of Monterey to the Bank of Putnam County.

1977

The Bank of Cookeville was purchased and the area’s first ATM was installed in Cookeville Mall.

Mortgage services began to be offered to the people of Upper Cumberland through the mortgage division known as BPC Mortgage Services.

1980

BPC Corporation was formed as a bank holding company.

1986

Cumberland County Bank was acquired and joined the BPC Corporation family.

1987

Financial services offerings were expanded by purchasing Cumberland Mountain Insurance Agency, now known as One Insurance of Tennessee.

1988

Baxter Branch was opened in the summer of 1988.

The bank now known as One Bank of Tennessee became one of the first banks in Tennessee to offer in-bank brokerage services by partnering with INVEST Financial Corporation.

1989

Bank of White County (an office of Bank of Putnam County) was opened in Sparta.

1995

Lake Tansi (Cumberland County Bank, an Office of Bank of Putnam County) branch was opened.

2000

Bank of Overton County (an office of Bank of Putnam County) was opened in Livingston.

2014

Bank of Putnam County opened a new branch in Monterey, TN on Stratton Ave.

2015

Bank of Fentress County (an office of Bank of Putnam County) was opened in Jamestown.

2016

Cumberland County Bank became an office of Bank of Putnam County.

Bank of Fentress County (an office of Bank of Putnam County) was opened in Clarkrange.

2019

Citizens First Bank of Wartburg was acquired by BPC Corporation. This inclusion brought five additional branches serving Wartburg, Oneida, Oliver Springs, Oak Ridge and Harriman.

The Grand Opening of the Monterey Loan Operations Center was held on August 17, 2019.

BPC Insurance Services, Inc. added several new lines of property and casualty coverages.

2020

Bank of Putnam County and all offices are united under a single name, One Bank of Tennessee.

BPC Insurance Services changes its name to One Insurance of Tennessee.

BPC Investments changes its name to One Investment of Tennessee.
